Pest Control

Q: Are your pest control treatments safe for my family and pets??

A: Yes. All products we use to eliminate pests have been tested and are approved by the U.S. EPA, and are applied by a certified professional. We also can recommend organic options including baits, exclusion and sanitation.

Q: Do I have to sign a contract for any of your pest control services?

A: No. Mosquito Plus does not require a customer to sign binding contracts. You may cancel your services at any time.

Q: Do you guarantee your work?

A: Yes, all of our work comes with a Satisfaction Guarantee

Q: Is a pest control maintenance plan necessary even when I don’t see pests in my house?

A:  A regularly scheduled pest control maintenance plan will stop pests before they become a problem. It allows our technicians to watch for and spot possible signs of pest activity and act immediately to eliminate any threat. A preventative, pro-active approach to managing pests will keep your home and family safe from annoying and potentially harmful pests.

Q: Why do fleas and ticks require more than one treatment to control?

A: Fleas, and ticks are highly mobile pests and can be carried easily between locations. Identifying the source of the infestation and taking the proper steps to ensure a re-infestation does not occur can take multiple service visits.

Q: When will I be notified of my scheduled pest control maintenance visit?

A: You will be notified via e-mail one week prior to your service date. This allows you to schedule someone to be home should you want the inside of the home treated.  Cancellations must be completed 24 hours in advance to avoid any fees.

Mosquito Barrier

Q: When do you apply treatments for mosquitoes?

A: Mosquitoes are most active between March and November depending on the weather. Treatment seasons vary depending on the weather.

Q: How often should barrier treatments be applied?

A: Treatments are recommended every 21 days for the best results. A dramatic reduction of mosquito activity is noticed on the first treatment, after regular treatments a 95% decrease in mosquito activity is obtained.

Q: When will I notice the effectiveness of my barrier treatment?

A: With Mosquito Plus barrier treatments significant results can be seen within 30 minutes after application.

Q: Do I need to be home for barrier treatments?

A: No, you will not need to be home to be serviced, as long as you leave your gate unlocked and pets inside. A door hanger will be left to notify you of your treated lawn.  Cancellations must be completed 24 hours in advance to avoid any fees.

Q: What if it rains after my lawn has been serviced?

A: As long as your yard has had adequate time to dry (20 to 30 minutes) after the application of your treatment; a normal amount of rain (1 inch or less) will not affect the product because it is designed to withstand rainfall.

Q: Will watering my lawn decrease the effectiveness of my application?

A: Although we do not apply treatments to your lawn, watering the areas that were sprayed can decrease the amount of time your application is effective by creating conditions for mosquitoes to live and breed.

Q: Will my neighbor’s mosquitoes fly into my yard?

A: Our mosquito application is a contact killer. Any mosquitoes landing on the treated surface in your yard will die. In many cases we will treat overhangs, doors, window frames, etc., to give more protection if necessary.

For maximum protection, we suggest that you talk to your neighbors about spraying. We give a 20% discount for each new referral that signs up for a barrier treatment. Don’t forget to check out our neighborhood discounts for even more savings.

Q: Is your service guaranteed?

A: While there is no guarantee for 100% kill, after the first treatment you will notice a significant difference in mosquito activity. After the third treatment at the regularly required service date the effectiveness ratio increases to 95%. Once the third treatment has been applied, we fully guarantee our service. If mosquitoes continue to be highly active during continued scheduled treatments, we will come and provide a one-time tune-up service at no additional charge. Tune-ups cannot be provided to customers with an outstanding balance owed or to customers who have not resolved conditions that allow mosquitoes live and breed.

Our commitment to you is if you are not satisfied with the effectiveness of our barrier treatment after the 3rd 21-day treatment, contact us within 14 days of your treatment and we will re-spray your property once at no additional cost.

Q: Is there a cancellation or rescheduling fee?

A: You may cancel or reschedule your service with us anytime you wish for any reason.  Note cancellations must be submitted 24 hours prior to your scheduled service to avoid a cancellation fee. A fee will be charged with less than a 24 hours cancellation.  You can cancel, via the reminder notification, emailing exterminate@mosquito-plus.com or calling 512.986.7600.
